The Portfolio consists of a single image from several of my collections. Click on the image to see a full collection.
Water Marks Collection
The Water Marks collection of photographs features abstract forms made by water flowing over sand. As the constant, pulsing surf washes over the beach, it leaves ever-changing patterns – Water Marks – in the sand. Some are soft, subtle and flowing, while others are harsh. They are all interesting. This image came from a beach on Galveston Island in Texas USA, while other images in the collection were captured at Padre Island National Seashore near Corpus Christi.
Expansive Sky Collection
The Expansive Sky collection presents serene skies, where soft clouds drift across an expansive blue canvas. Each subtle variation in color and texture enhances the atmosphere, making these artworks perfect additions to any space seeking a touch of peaceful drama.
Kites Collection
The Kites Collection of photographs captures kite flying as a popular pastime on the Texas coast. The stiff offshore breeze from the Gulf of Mexico provides great conditions for staying aloft. The colors first caught my eye, and then the flow of the long tails captured my interest. The continuous rising and falling, twisting and turning made for fun compositions.
See the Sea Collection
See The Sea is a collection of photographs featuring views of the sea and things upon it. In this particular image, captured on a photo walk in Monterey, CA, the old red boat was very conspicuous in a harbor filled with white boats. I imagined it to be a smuggler’s ship trying to hide as it anchored in the rear of the marina
Connect Collection
Connect is a collection of photographs depicting the concept of connection made by everyday structures.
Energize Collection
Energize is a collection of photographs depicting suspended energy in sport, performance, and nature.
Carface Collection
The Carface project is a series of photographs of the “faces” of these toy Matchbox cars from the mid-1960s and 1970s. I chose a head-on view of the toys to portray the strongest, most unique part of any subject, the face.
