The Water Marks project is a series of photographs of abstract forms made by water flowing over sand and soil. As the constant, pulsing surf washes over the beach, it leaves ever-changing patterns – Water Marks – in the sand. Some are soft, subtle, and flowing, while others are harsh. I photographed this image along the shores of East Beach in Galveston, Texas.
